Snack Size Serving

Let's talk about food. We all know that food can make or break an event. It's what brings people together (think it's coincidence that everyone is always crowded around the food table or hovering in the area where the servers come out?) Let's face it, sometimes food is the sole reason why we host or attend an event! With that said, one of our fav ways to serve food is in small bites or appetizer style. It's perfect since it allows guests to keep socializing and try a variety of things. Making sure your food looks amazing as it's served is so important, and it doesn't have to be difficult or expensive. Here are some of our fav simple, versatile, and best of all inexpensive serving dishes and accessories for hors d'oeuvres, snacks, and small bites that are appropriate for any occasion!

White porcelain dish: Crate and Barrel
We love how versatile this little dish is. It's perfect for things like dips, salsas, nuts, candies, etc or for individual servings of dumplings, soups, ice cream, and so forth! And it's a steal at $1.95!

Cuatro small appetizer plate: CB2
These little 6 3/4" x 5 1/4" plates are the perfect for guests to use when snacking. Set a stack on a buffet table and let people graze away. Also would work great for a dessert buffet. They are also only 1.95 each!

Bamboo picks and forks: World Market
These little bamboo picks and forks are perfect when you want something that looks nice and is fairly sturdy, but is still disposable. At $2.99 for 100 pieces they a great alternative to plastic silverware or those cheap little toothpicks.

French fry cone: CB2
This cute little cone is intended for serving french fries (which we love), but it's also great for individual portions of veggie sticks and dip, tuna tartar, or even desserts like chocolate mousse or donut holes. They're only 3.95 and the possibilities are endless.

Linen cocktail napkin: www.napkinsonline.net
Cloth napkins instantly make your event more sophisticated and are much more eco-friendly. These linen cocktail napkins come in a wide variety of colors and are only $12 for a dozen. You'll save money in the long run because you can use them over and over while serving in style!
